Let's put the blame where it belongs! Okay, this is all starting to make sense. I just had to put it in the proper perspective. Osama bin Laden is from Saudi Arabia; fifteen of the hijackers who perpetrated the terrorist attacks on September 11th were from Saudi Arabia; so, naturally, we bombed the snot out of Afghanistan. i.e. In response to an attack by terrorists from one of the richest Arab countries in the world, we (in our infinite wisdom) are bombing one the poorest. No, really, it makes perfect sense when you realize that our so-called "elected representatives" would never do anything to harm the rich. Think about it! We're talking about a bunch of guys whose first response to the most horrendous terrorist attack of all time was to pass a package of "patriotic" capital gains and corporate tax cuts to line the pockets of their wealthiest constituents. And, this is nothing new. They've been turning a blind eye to the true terrorists in the Middle East for decades. When it comes right down to it, the ongoing economic terrorism by Saudi Arabia and its OPEC buddies has probably had a more tangible effect on the life of the average American than the events of September 11th. Hey, I can remember when gas was 19.9 cents a gallon (I'm very old). I can also remember the OPEC boycott of the 70s, waiting hours in line for a few lousy gallons, and skyrocketing gas prices ever since. Our government can't really believe that Afghanistan is finding world terrorism. It's one of the poorest countries in the world. They couldn't afford to fly tourist if they took up a collection. No, boys and girls, the September 11th crowd were all flying first class, and they had a bankroll that would choke a camel. We are talking serious oil money here. The bottom line is, maybe, if our so-called "elected representatives" would stop kissing up to the rich, and we'd start putting some of that ordnance we're dumping on Afghanistan where it belongs, we'd not only break the back of world terrorism, we could probably get the price of gas back down to 19.9 cents a gallon where it belongs. |
